In Mr. Hall's construction class, students participated in a hands-on lesson on how to block a 2x4 wall. This practical experience allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of essential construction techniques. By working directly with materials and tools, students not only developed technical skills but also built confidence in applying these skills to real-world construction projects. These lessons provide valuable insights into the fundamentals of construction, preparing them for future learning opportunities and potential careers in the field.

From the desk of Coach Conboy:
“The Boys Varsity Soccer Team travelled to Old Forge this weekend and returned as the 2024 David R. Leach Columbus Day Soccer Tournament Champions! They defeated the host school, Town of Webb, 3-1 on Saturday with goals from Jackson Strader, Mason Fredette, and Chris Ciembroniewicz.
From there, they were matched up against a highly ranked Class C school in South Lewis on Sunday. But once again, the boys proved worthy of the contest and came out on top 2-1 in Sudden Death, double Overtime, with goals from Mason Fredette and a dramatic free kick winner from Jackson Strader.
After racking up an incredible 31 saves over the two games, Tyler Mack was awarded tournament MVP. Congratulations to Tyler on his individual award and to the team for earning their 1st Place trophy!!”

This afternoon, in celebration of Fire Safety Month, the Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department visited Indian Lake Central School for an exciting presentation! Students from Pre-K through 12th grade eagerly participated in hands-on demonstrations, exploring the fire trucks, sounding the fog horn, and even learning to operate the fire hose. The firefighters also shared important tips about staying safe at home and what to do in case of an emergency. The energy and excitement were contagious, and smiles lit up the faces of everyone involved. A huge thank you to the ILVFD for an unforgettable afternoon!

From the bench of Coach Conboy, “With a goal and assist against Wells on Wednesday evening, Jackson Strader eclipsed the 100 career points milestone. This is an achievement Jackson has been working toward since moving up to varsity as a 7th grader. His current career tally sits at 42 goals and 17 assists, which ranks him 3rd in Section VII among Active Boys Soccer Scoring Leaders.
