Kindergarten, First grade, and Second grade had an incredible adventure at It’s About Thyme Farm! Each student got to pick their very own pumpkin to take home, along with a bag bursting with crisp apples. To top it off, we all had a blast on a delightful hayride!

Laying the groundwork—literally! 🏠 Precision is key when measuring and ensuring a perfectly square foundation, the first step in building a strong and stable home. Here’s how it all begins!

Sharing for our friends at Tannery Pond:

In Mr. Hall's technology class, students are busy crafting scarecrow frames! Once they're all put together, our high school students will dress them up, and we’ll proudly showcase them in front of ILCS to brighten up our lawn!

From the fabulous first grade classroom: Our first Monarch butterfly emerged from its chrysalis. Watching the transformation from caterpillars on the first day of school to a butterfly is always an exciting experience to start the year!

Our Pre-K students had an exciting first visit to the ILCS library today! They listened to the fun story "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" and shared all the reasons why a pigeon driving a bus might not be the best idea 🚌. Afterward, they got creative and colored pictures of the pigeon and the bus driver. To wrap up the visit, the kids cozied up on the carpet to explore some picture books 📚. What a great way to start their library adventures!

What an awesome first week—packed with fun, learning, and reuniting with friends! We’re pumped for all the adventures the 2024-2025 school year has in store!
