Position Overview:
Indian Lake/Long Lake is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Modified Baseball Coach for the 2026 spring season. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that promotes athletic skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic success.

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all team practices, games, and related events for the modified girls basketball program.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing the following certifications/training as mandated by New York State Education Department (NYSED) and district policy:
First Aid Certification
CPR Certification
Amendment to First Aid Knowledge and Skills Requirements for Coaches
Concussion Management Course
HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training for Coaches
NFHS Concussion in Sports
Child Abuse Identification Workshop
School Violence Prevention and Intervention Workshop
Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Training
Fingerprint Clearance through NYSED
Completion of or enrollment in required Coaching Coursework as per NYSED coaching regulations

Tyler Mack of Indian Lake earns President’s List Honors at SUNY Canton

CANTON, NY — Tyler Mack, a SUNY Canton Liberal Arts-General Studies major from Indian Lake, NY (12842) earned President’s List honors during the fall 2025 semester.

“Your academic achievements during the fall semester reflect your dedication, perseverance and commitment to excellence,” said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran. “We are proud of all you have accomplished and applaud your success on behalf of the faculty, staff and administration at SUNY Canton.”

The mandatory student and parent Travel Club meeting for those planning to travel to Puerto Rico in Spring 2027 has been rescheduled. The meeting will now take place on Tuesday, February 3rd at 5:00 PM in the ILCS Library. Stay safe and warm today!

Due to the Hamilton County State of Emergency, declared in response to severe weather and safety concerns, ILCS will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Students in our 3–5 after school enrichment program took part in an egg drop engineering challenge. They were responsible for designing their own devices and reflecting on what went right or wrong after testing them. The activity encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. Overall, the experience was a lot of fun, with only a few eggs cracking along the way.

Plans for tonight? Check out the ILCS Modified & Varsity Girls as they battle Bolton CSD on the court! Hungry? Don't work, the class of 2028 has you covered! Concessions will be sold at both games and during intermission! The Modified game starts at 5:00 pm. Let's go Orange!
