Indian Lake's 4th-grade students enthusiastically participated in the annual Battle of the Books organized by WSWHE BOCES School Library System on March 11. This voluntary reading program fosters a love for reading while providing an opportunity for students to engage in friendly competition. The students delved into 10 challenging fiction and nonfiction books, actively participating in book discussions and scrimmages to prepare for the culminating event. Despite not securing victory, the students showcased their impressive literary knowledge, competing against some of the region's top fourth-grade readers.
