Position Overview:
Indian Lake/Long Lake is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Modified Girls Basketball Coach for the 2025–2026 winter season. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that promotes athletic skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic success.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all team practices, games, and related events for the modified girls basketball program.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing the following certifications/training as mandated by New York State Education Department (NYSED) and district policy:
First Aid Certification
CPR Certification
Amendment to First Aid Knowledge and Skills Requirements for Coaches
Concussion Management Course
HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training for Coaches
NFHS Concussion in Sports
Child Abuse Identification Workshop
School Violence Prevention and Intervention Workshop
Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Training
Fingerprint Clearance through NYSED
Completion of or enrollment in required Coaching Coursework as per NYSED coaching regulations

🚍🔬 On Friday, September 12, the WSWHE BOCES Tech Gurus rolled into ILCS with their STEM Bus! Our students—from littles to bigs—had the chance to enjoy hands-on learning right in our own backyard. Rotating through a variety of engaging activities, they explored STEM in the sunshine and had a blast along the way! 🌞🤖✨
