Red team learned how to make mozzarella cheese today in their food making class with Mrs. Bureau. They were fascinated with the rennet, an enzyme derived from the stomach lining of animals, that is used to curdle the milk.
The middle school color teams have been rotating through different classes on preserving food from the garden or making their own food staples. We’ve made pickles, applesauce and sauerkraut so far. Mrs. Bureau’s food making class is funded by a grant from the Whole Kids Foundation

The ILCS Middle School Boy's Group went snowshoeing! Studies have revealed that nature-based activities not only enhance mindfulness skills but also cultivate a steadfast commitment to healthy daily habits. While snowshoeing, students made positive connections with one another, all while immersing in the joy of exploration. It wasn't just about fun; it was about igniting a natural curiosity that will leave the boys captivated by the enchanting trails and scenic landscapes surrounding ILCS! Mrs. Bane & Mr. Hutchins are ensuring Tuesdays are unforgettable, one (snowy) step at a time!
