Orange Athletics Update: Trapshooting :
We placed second to Whitehall - 36 points out of 1500 pts in our conference. Bugs and wind 🙁. But a great performance none the less! Tyler placed 2nd behind Whitehall #1 by .4 of a point - that's about 5 targets over the 5 week season. Austin was 3rd by .8 points. Abbie was 1st place conference female and Logan was 2nd. These should all be medal awards.
Abbie and Logan both placed top 25 Female and Tyler placed 89 top 100 - out of over 2500 athletes state wide.

ILCS students enjoyed a fantastic trip to Montreal with their Distance Learning classmates from Cobleskill-Richmond! Thanks for an amazing experience Madame Hinckley!

Update from Madame Hinckley! We made it across the border to Canada!

Orange Athletics Update:

❤ National Endangered Species Day is celebrated annually on the third Friday in May. This year's 3rd graders have been busy researching endangered animal species and advocating for their protection.
They have been busy writing letters and collecting donations and will be presenting their research in a few week. Today they took a break from their research and participated in the Endangered Species Chalk Art Event by drawing the animals they have been studying on the school walkway. Stop by and take a look.

Alexander Angerami, a Construction Manager from Curtis Lumber gave a nice presentation to our Middle and High School students today and discussed all the job opportunities as a skilled tradesman. There are many unfilled positions in all aspects of the construction industry that can lead to rewarding careers.

Check out what's happening at the Indian Lake Town Library!

Congratulations!

Thank you!

7th grade students are working on creating a probability carnival. They must create a carnival game, calculate the chance of winning (theoretical probability) and compare it to the probability of how many people actually won(experimental probability).
Stay tuned to see our completed games!

Third grade students are busy researching their endangered animals and enjoying the sunshine!

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night at our Spring Concert & Art Show! The ILCS students have worked so hard and it is going to be a terrific night!

In Digital Citizenship, our 6th grade students have been publishing Middle School Newsletters! Please enjoy a copy of the April/May 2023 edition!

Before the start of 4th quarter there was a request by some of the staff to build a picnic table that can be used on the crow hill side of the school. Students in Mr. Dora's Maker Space have answered the call and are working on building one! Mr. Rathbun has generously donated his time with this project! With his help we are learning about tools, templates, measuring, cutting, characteristics of wood, cross-lap joints, and much more. Check back to see the final product.

Indian Lake, Long Lake, Newcomb, and Minerva had a fantastic Prom Saturday at the Longview in Long Lake. Special thanks to Long Lake Central School for coordinating and planning this spectacular event. Mrs. Mitchell, Ms. Eldridge, and Mrs. Mulvey thoroughly enjoyed watching the students dance the night away in their most festive attire. It was a magical night with memories that would last a lifetime. Alec Frasier and Olivia Zumpano were crowned Prom King and Queen.

ILCS is a special place!
