Orange Athletics Update:

Picture this: the cafeteria buzzing with excitement, the smell of fresh homemade (school-made) pizza sauce wafting through the air, and Greyson at the forefront of pizza-popping creativity. He's reinventing the pizza game, one pizza pop at a time!

Update from the Kinders: Here’s a look into the kindergarten day. We’ve been working on letter practice, comparing numbers to 5 using the terms greater than and less than, helping animals at our own Vet Clinic, and mixing puffy paint for Jack-o-Lanterns! It’s been a busy few weeks!

October‘s big buddy theme was Halloween.
We had chocolate witch hat treats and made floaty ghosts. This month’s character trait was courage and we started with conversations about how we can be courageous in the choices we make.

Update from the World of 1st Grade:
It was an amazing Apple Week in first grade. Students were engaged in a variety of apple themed activities as we learned about the apple life cycle. Completing apple investigations, using our five senses to describe apples, sequencing the steps to make applesauce in the classroom, and making apple prints were just a few of our favorite activities.

The ninth graders read "The Harvest" by Tomas Rivera. In the story, Don Trine is a migrant worker who keeps his spirits up with his love for the land. He digs holes in the dirt and feels the earth move to connect with Mother Nature. We tried Don's method in the school garden before the ground freezes for the long winter ahead!

Congratulations to ILCS Varsity Soccer players Jackson Strader and Tyler Mack, recognized in an Adirondack Express article for their outstanding skills and performance at the Old Forge Tournament during the Columbus Day weekend!
“One player stood out in this tournament and I would say he was the best player in the entire tournament, and that is Jackson Strader, a junior. Strader was outstanding and his goalie, Tyler Mack also played very well as he was kept very busy throughout the tournament.” Dave Clark, Adirondack Express
