Tonight's production of Mary Poppins will proceed as planned and begin at 7:00 p.m. Highway crews are maintaining the roads, and the school will be cleaned out in time, too. I urge everyone to drive safely and allow extra time for travel. Opening night was magical, and I'm confident tonight will be as well!

One of the highlights was attending the Lake Placid High School production of Matilda the Musical. The following morning, students visited Mt. Van Hoevenberg to witness thrilling skeleton races. On Friday, March 15, 2024, the Middle School students were in for a treat as they embarked on a thrilling adventure through the realms of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Stepping onto the stage like modern-day superheroes were none other than Mr. Sebastian Kowalik, the Technical Specialist & Data and AI Architect at Microsoft, and Mr. Christopher Rizio, the Resident Engineer extraordinaire. From the depths of data analysis to the heights of artificial intelligence, Mr. Kowalik unveiled the secrets of his role at Microsoft, showcasing the power of technology to shape the world and drive positive change. Meanwhile, Mr. Rizio regaled the students with tales of engineering ingenuity, transporting them to the frontlines of innovation where every problem was an opportunity and every solution a triumph. After both presentations, the students not only witnessed the magic of STEM but had glimpsed their own potential to become the architects of tomorrow's world.

The 4th grade students were experimenting with sound and engineering “telephones” with different materials . As they tinkered and tested, laughter filled the air, mingling with the hum of excitement. With each new creation, they marveled at the power of engineering to bring their wildest dreams to life. Their telephones weren't just devices; they were portals to adventure, connecting worlds with the mere whisper of a word.
