Our final week of Summer Recreation Program took us on an exciting safari adventure through Africa! Campers explored African culture and wildlife through a variety of hands-on activities. They designed colorful tribal masks, built and painted their own airplanes, created binoculars for spotting safari animals, and put their creativity to work by building unique wooden creations.
Our trip to the library was another highlight of the week, where campers made their own rain sticks and enjoyed watching a special concert on the TV. We were also happy to build bug hotels to provide safe homes for the beneficial insects in our garden with Mrs. Bureau.
To celebrate an incredible summer together, we wrapped up the program with a fun-filled Thursday! Campers got messy making slime, worked together to complete a blindfolded obstacle course that tested their communication and teamwork, and cooled off with delicious brownie sundaes.
Thank you to all of our campers and families for making this summer so memorable. We had an amazing time exploring new places, learning new skills, making lasting friendships, and creating unforgettable memories. We hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the summer, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
