Summer Program

Our Summer Recreation Program is off to a fantastic start! During our first week, our campers became Explorers Around the World as we "traveled" to China, Australia, and France through hands-on activities, games, crafts, and stories.

Throughout the week, campers created a variety of fun cultural crafts, including white rice collages, Chinese lanterns, Chinese cootie catchers, Aboriginal story stones, and rain sticks. These projects gave participants the opportunity to learn about different traditions while expressing their creativity.

The fun didn't stop there! Campers participated in interactive games and activity centers, including a favorite—Pin the Tail on the Kangaroo—along with several other engaging challenges that kept everyone moving, learning, and laughing.

Our explorers also enjoyed several exciting field trips. We spent part of a day at Chain Lakes Beach, where everyone had fun swimming and playing together. We also visited the Town Library where Ms. Susan had a fun activity.  Mrs. Hoag joined us for special reading sessions that added a wonderful literacy component to our week. To wrap up our travels, we visited the Children's World Awareness Museum, where campers explored exhibits and learned even more about cultures from around the world.

It was an exciting first week filled with creativity, exploration, new experiences, and plenty of smiles. We can't wait to see where our adventures take us next!
