Hello Everyone! My name is Ms. Hart. I will be the new English teacher at Indian Lake.
I grew up in the Hudson Valley, where I attended Saugerties High School, but then I went all of the way to the other side of New York, where I got my Bachelor's in English and Political Science at SUNY Fredonia. During those years, I spent my summers at Camp Fowler in Lake Pleasant, where being a camp counselor taught me how much I love working with young people. After that, I made my way to Rochester, where I got my Master's in English Education.
Since then, I have been teaching for the last 3 years at Rush Henrietta CSD just outside of Rochester. My partner of 7 years, Peyton, is a software Engineer. He and I are incredibly excited to be moving out to the Adirondacks, where we can do so many things we love--- camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, skiing, and enjoying the outdoors in every way that we can. Outside of school, I love reading, gardening, exercising (swimming is my favorite), singing, playing guitar, and while I do not have a dog currently, I am a huge dog person. I'm very excited to get to know all of my students and their families, and please feel free to ask me any questions you have about me!
