We kicked off our summer program with the exciting theme “Fun on the Farm”, and it was a week full of hands-on learning, creativity, and outdoor adventure!

Our students got to dive into farm life through a wide variety of engaging activities. They used their imaginations and engineering skills to build their own tractors, bulldozers, and racecars, and enjoyed a sweet treat by decorating their own sheep cupcakes. Creativity bloomed as students designed and painted their own flower pots before planting real flowers to take home!

We brought science to life by dissecting owl pellets to learn about animal diets and anatomy, and created terrariums to explore ecosystems. Students also got their hands dirty building compost piles in the school garden and began documenting their gardening journeys in personalized journals. Games like “Pin the Tail on the Pig” added an extra dose of fun and laughter to the week.

One of the highlights of the week was our field trip to Up Yonda Farm. Students explored pond life by sifting for tiny creatures and learned about local wildlife through an up-close look at animal pelts, skulls, and tracks.

Next week, we’ll be diving into a whole new theme—“Buggin’ Out for Bugs”—where our curious young scientists will explore the fascinating world of insects!

Stay tuned for more summer fun!
