Mr. Hall’s woodworking class recently completed a meaningful project that blended hands-on learning with community service. Earlier this year, community member Deb Ameden contacted me to see if there might be interest in creating a new sign for the local community garden. Mr. Hall and his students were eager to get involved.
The result is a beautifully handcrafted wooden sign, proudly donated to the garden as a symbol of collaboration and community pride. The students—Tyler Mack, Hunter Tracey, Dannen Svoboda, Wheland Paraso, Christopher Ciembroniewicz, and Kira Delong—designed, built, and finished the sign with care, showcasing both their craftsmanship and their generous spirit.
This project is a shining example of how our students are developing valuable skills in the classroom and learning the importance of giving back. Thank you to Mr. Hall and his talented class, and to Deb Ameden for inspiring this special partnership. The new sign will stand as a lasting tribute to community power and the impact of student service.
