On Friday, May 17, 2024, students from 4th through 12th grade had the exciting opportunity to visit a Living History Civil War Reenactment Camp in Indian Lake. During the visit, students experienced history firsthand by trying on period clothing and tasting hardtack. They also saw a variety of weapons, including a cannon.
The highlight of the day was when our very own Mrs. Wolfe and Mrs. Hoag were selected to shoot the cannon. In a humorous and memorable moment, they were later inducted as cannoneers by having cannon sludge smeared on their faces!
It was a fun and educational experience for everyone involved, providing a unique way to learn about history.
