Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder - USDA Food and Nutrition Service

USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed for summer break. Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country serve meals and snacks to kids 18 and younger at no cost. Families can use the Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder.

Breakfast

Breakfast begins at 7:40am for grades 6-12, and 7:50am for grades PK-5. Grab-n-go options are available till 8:30am.

Research shows that children who eat breakfast:

• show improvement on math, reading and standardized test scores

• establish healthier habits for later in life

• have fewer absences and incidences of tardiness

• are more likely to behave better in school

• consume more calcium, fiber, foliate and protein

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

SNAP

Food insecurity and hunger can affect anyone. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides monthly benefits on an Electronic Benefit Card (EBT) to spend at local grocery stores and farmers’ markets.
