PTSO Collects Box Tops for Education
Save those box tops! The PTSO is collecting Box Tops For Education to raise money to support our activities. Collect the small Box Top logo on many packaged foods and drop them off at the main office at school. So far, we've earned over $195! Thanks to everyone who is collecting! The PTSO will be using some of our Box Tops monies to help purchase reeds for the music department. For more information about Box Tops for Education, visit the BoxTops4Education website.

What is the Indian Lake PTSO?
The Indian Lake PTSO is a Parent Teacher Student Organization that formed in the spring of 2005 to foster a close working relationship between parents, teachers, and students and help create the best possible learning environment for our children at Indian Lake Central School.

How can parents be involved?
Members can contribute their time, energy, and ideas in many ways to benefit their child’s experience at ILCS. Suggestions so far have included: offering fun family activities; updating the school’s website with pictures and additional information; raising money for scholarships; bringing events to the school; sponsoring events to show appreciation for teachers; and many more. Members can participate in whatever way works best for them—bring your ideas to the next meeting!

Is there a fee to become an Indian Lake PTSO member?
No, but the Indian Lake PTSO will need funds to follow through on our ideas. Donations of any amount are welcome (and tax deductible).

What are the benefits of membership?
A parent’s involvement in a child’s education is one important factor influencing their success at school and beyond. The PTSO is one opportunity to be a part of your child’s schooling in a meaningful way.

How do I find out about future PTSO meetings and events?
Meeting dates and times will be published in the monthly school newsletter, emailed to members on the main page.
