What
is the Indian Lake PTSO?
The Indian Lake PTSO is a Parent Teacher Student Organization that formed
in the spring of 2005 to foster a close working relationship between parents,
teachers, and students and help create the best possible learning environment
for our children at Indian Lake Central School.
How
can parents be involved?
Members can contribute their time, energy, and ideas in many ways to benefit
their childs experience at ILCS. Suggestions so far have included:
offering fun family activities; updating the schools website with
pictures and additional information; raising money for scholarships; bringing
events to the school; sponsoring events to show appreciation for teachers;
and many more. Members can participate in whatever way works best for
thembring your ideas to the next meeting!
Is
there a fee to become an Indian Lake PTSO member?
No, but the Indian Lake PTSO will need funds to follow through on our
ideas. Donations of any amount are welcome (and tax deductible).
What
are the benefits of membership?
A parents involvement in a childs education is one important
factor influencing their success at school and beyond. The PTSO is one
opportunity to be a part of your childs schooling in a meaningful
way.
How
do I find out about future PTSO meetings and events?
Meeting dates and times will be published in the monthly school newsletter,
emailed to members on the main page.
